Burning Information

 Burning Information

Village of Corrales residents need to call the burn line, 899-9819, for burn day information and to register their address on days they want to burn. There is a recorded message for citizens to verify burning status. If it is a burn day, you must leave your address on the machine to be considered registered to burn. Burning hours are from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm on burn days.  The time may be shortened if winds are expected prior to 4:00 pm. Residents who have additional questions or want to burn for agricultural purposes, such as planting or the harvesting of crops, for ceremonial or recreational burning, need to call 898-7501 for special permits. Failure to follow the burning rules can result in a $500.00 fine and/or 90 days in jail.
